The Jaguar F-Type Coupe and Tom Hiddleston in Art of Villainy
The UK has only just got the British Villains video advert for the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe (it was broadcast earlier this week on ITV), but that’s just the start of Jaguar’s campaign to make the world aware that the new F-Type Coupe offers something a bit special. The next promo video for the F-Type Coupe - Art of Villainy - has already arrived and features Tom Hiddleston as the suave villain teaching us what it takes to be a proper villain. An opening voiceover of the John of Gaunt speech from Shakespeare’s Richard II (This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England..) sets the scene for an unashamedly patriotic push for the uniqueness of the F-Type Coupe.
New Mercedes A Class EV on the way via Tesla
It would appear that Mercedes-Benz are planning an electric version of the new Mercedes A Class with a powertrain by Tesla. The new Mercedes A Class arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March as the Mercedes answer to the BMW 1 Series, and a very convincing new A Class it looks too. From an entry-level A Class which will get a Renault 1.5 litre dCi lump to deliver a sub-99g/km model all the way up (eventually) to a 4WD, 300bhp AMG A Class, it looks like the new A Class will cover the bases for every buyer, and then some.
Mitsubishi has no less than three future-reaching concept cars on display at Tokyo 2013, and this is the biggest of all of them. It’s called the Concept GC-PHEV, and amongst many other things gives us a sneak peak at current thinking for the next-generation Mitsubishi Shogun. However, it also features a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 and a plug-in electric hybrid system, and a cabin with more touchscreens than your local electronics emporium.
